Cleaning a very dirty oven!

Recently I had tremendous success cleaning one extremely dirty oven, with my bare hands, using the Norwex Oven and Grill Cleaner. There were no nasty fumes or caustic chemicals. The enzymes in the Cleaner simply dissolved the burned-on gunk.

To start, I warmed up the oven slightly and turned it off. I sprayed on the Oven Cleaner, let it set for 5 minutes, and then wiped it clean with my Spirisponge and Enviro Cloth. I never had to scrub. On the particularly caked-on areas I repeated the procedure. That's all there was to it!

I took pictures as I went along. Seeing is believing, right? You can see what it looked like to start (yuck!) and when I was finished. You'll notice the window is so clean you can see right through it to the floor beneath.

Is this cool or what?

Mildew Smell in Bathroom Drain

We've had an ongoing problem with a mildew smell in our bathroom drain ever since it was installed about seven years ago. It would also drain slowly - a real bugger. I decided to try the Norwex Drain Care. The label says it uses all natural microbes and enzymes and doesn't contain any poisons, acids, solvents or caustics!! Plus, it doesn't create heat or fumes!

I put a scoop of the powder (using my bare hands, I might add) in the drain and dribbled about 4 ounces of warm water over it. It foamed up a pretty blue. I understand the foam goes up, down sideways, whichever way the gook in the pipes goes.

We left it in there for about two hours and then ran the water from the faucet. The water ran freely, no longer clogged, and the mildewy smell went away!

I really love this stuff because I've learned that it continues right down the drain, putting the good bacteria into my septic system. That's really important since we recently spent a LOT of money installing an entirely new system and it's important to keep that good bacteria in there to protect our investment by maintaining it properly. Plus, it's safe on whatever type of pipes we have - even PVC!

That's my Norwex Drain Care Story. What's yours?
